Matt advises clients primarily in the television and digital sectors. His background is in strategic development, public policy advice and consumer research, with fifteen years of experience in media and consulting roles.
He was Director of Strategy and Policy at Human Capital and earlier worked at LEK Consulting. He has held business development and strategy positions at BBC Worldwide and began his career developing programme ideas at an independent TV production company.
He has written a novel and can feel a second coming on. He has a degree in economics and philosophy from St John’s College, Cambridge.

Debbie has worked in qualitative research for 15 years. Her core experience spans; media, youth, senior and social sectors although she has extensive experience in almost all areas.
Over the last seven years Debbie was Director of Research at Human Capital (Media Strategy and Research specialists). Her key clients included; IPC Media, Turner, Cartoon Network, Trinity Mirror, News International, DC Thomson, ITV, BBC and COI. During this time Debbie worked on some of the most successful print launches.
Debbie’s other key interests have complemented her research skills well. She is a trained counsellor, teaches adults who want to improve their literacy skills, mentors youth offenders and is currently studying British Sign Language.

David Fawcett spent over a decade at the heart of Whitehall, joining the Department of National Heritage to produce the 1994 White Paper on the future of the BBC. He went on to lead the Unit that first detailed the scope and economic size of the creative industries.
David joined the BBC Policy Development team in 1998. He led the team which negotiated the new BBC Charter and Agreement in 2006 and implemented the new governance system. He led strategic reviews in BBC Online and BBC Learning, and provided policy support for the 2010 Strategy Review.
David is a music graduate, Associate of the Royal College of Organists, conductor and photographer. He directs three separate choral groups.

Simon founded Human Capital in 1995. There he advised organisations including the BBC, Sky, Ofcom, National Magazine Company, ITV, Channel 4, Virgin Media, Discovery, UKTV, DCMS, BIS, DfE and 10 Downing Street. He also worked for leading broadcasters in the US, Canada and Eastern Europe. The firm was sold in February 2008 and Simon worked there until summer 2009. Terrington and Co was founded in 2009.
Over the last 15 years Simon has written many papers and books and has spoken at numerous industry conferences.
Simon has degrees from Cambridge (Mathematics), an MA (Mathematical Philosophy), a PhD (Co-operative Game Theory) from London and was a visiting fellow at Oxford (journalism) in 2008/9.
Nick has over 10 years’ experience of consultancy, R&D, and insight working both agency side (Human Capital & Sparkler), & client side (BBC and CTC in Moscow)
His consultancy work has covered many of the biggest media brands in the UK from TV work for the BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky, to print work for News International and IPC media, to digital work for Ofcom, Turner, BBC.com and lastminute.com.
Beyond that he is an experienced CRB checked researcher and has a particular interest in developing new methodologies to generate insights.
